The SIDA funding ASRHR project, implemented by Marie Stopes Bangladesh and supported by Plan International Bangladesh, celebrated the International Women’s day in cooperation with Govt. Upazila Administration and Department of Women Affairs with a rally followed by a discussion meeting at Patharghata Upazila Parishad, Barguna. Before starting the meeting the rally passed through all the main roads of Patharghata to raise awareness at community level.

As part of the International Women’s day celebration, a quiz was organized in 30 institutions (schools and madrasas) of Patharghata where a total of 4,338 students (Girls-2,426 & Boys-1,912) participated. The top 5 scorers were rewarded with prizes. To raise awareness on ASRHR and womens empowerment a human chain was organized on 5th March in which 150 adolescents (Boys-30; Girls-120) participated.
